Summary

AvaTrade is is global online trading provider and broker, founded in 2006 and headquartered in Dublin, Ireland. Offering mainly CFD and forex trading products, our research indicates that AvaTrade is a highly safe and secure broker.

We found that AvaTrade offers easy account opening, free deposits and withdrawals and diverse research and educational tools. At the same time, we found that AvaTrade is quite limited in terms of its product offering with high inactivity fees. Let's dive into our AvaTrade broker review in more detail.

Trading Instruments (Best for CFD and FX traders)

Compared to other brokers, AvaTrade does have a smaller, but more focused list of tradable assets. Due to their impressive selection of forex, options and CFDs, we rank AvaTrade highly in this trading category.

AvaTrade’s clients in the UAE have access to over 1400+ financial products, including:

  • 55 Forex pairs
  • 44 FX Options
  • 612 Stock CFDs
  • 20 Cryptocurrency CFDs
  • 31 Indices CFDs
  • 60 ETF CFDs
  • 18 Commodity CFDs
  • 2 Bond CFDs

AvaTrade Commissions, Spreads and Fees

Overall, AvaTrade offers low fees on CFD trading, while forex trading fees come in at the industry standard. AvaTrade offers commission free trading, however this inevitably comes with higher spreads to make up for that.

EUR/USD starts with 0.9 pips, or $9 per standard lot. Equity traders can trade commission free, but will pay a minimum spread of 0.13%, while for crypto the minimum spread is 0.35%. AvaTrade’s lower spreads really shine when it comes to index CFDs and commodity CFDs, giving traders the best deal in these asset classes.

Looking at the broker's other fees, a major benefit of AvaTrade is its free deposits and withdrawals. However, inactivity fees for AvaTrade are quite high at $50 per quarter after 3 months of inactivity.

AvaTrade Deposits & Withdrawals

AvaTrade provides traders in the UAE with several options for deposits and withdrawals. These include Credit/Debit cards, Wire transfers, and e-wallets (Neteller, Skrill, WebMoney). Deposits and withdrawals are free of charge, and the minimum deposit amount at AvaTrade to open an account is $100.

AvaTrade typically processes withdrawal requests within 24-48 hours. You should also note that withdrawals are only available using the same payout methods as what was used to deposit money.
