Pepperstone Summary

Overall, Pepperstone is a reliable and safe CFD broker that is highly popular for traders in the UAE, both beginners and advanced.

We find that Pepperstone offers lower trading costs compared to the industry average and also supports algorithmic trading by offering the popular MT4 and MT5 platforms. The broker also offers excellent customer support with 24/7 assistance.

However, Pepperstone focuses entirely on CFDs and forex, and doesn't offer the option to physically invest in stocks or crypto. Demo accounts are also limited, only offering 1 month of practice trading.
Pepperstone Trading Instruments
Pepperstone’s product offering is centered around CFDs. Traders in the UAE can trade 1200+ CFDs with Pepperstone, including:

  • 600+ shares
  • 60+ forex pairs
  • 23 global indices
  • 100+ ETFs
  • 30+ commodities
  • 20+ cryptocurrencies
Pepperstone Commissions, Spreads and Fees
While using Pepperstone, we found that this broker offers some of the lowest industry spreads compared to others. The broker also charges commission depending on the account type you select. Here is a more detailed look at Pepperstone’s spreads and commissions with each account type.

Pepperstone Razor Account

Trader’s can access every one of Pepperstone’s offered platforms with the Razor account. It offers a commission based price structure plus prevailing spreads. For EUR/USD, spreads in the Razor account average 0.16 pips. Adding on a commission of 0.70 pips, this comes to an industry average of 0.86 pips.

Pepperstone Standard Account

Pepperstone’s Standard account offers commission-free trading with a slightly less competitive spread. Using the same EUR/USD example, traders will be charged an average spread of 1.16 pips only with no extra commission charges.

Professional clients are able to reduce their trading costs with Pepperstone through their ‘Active Trader’ program. With this program, Pepperstone gives their highly active clients discounts on the spread if they trade above a certain volume. Traders can sign up and request this from their account manager.

In terms of other fees, there are no deposit or withdrawal fees and absolutely no inactivity fee.

While swap fees with Pepperstone can be quite high, traders can request a swap-free account. However this will also reflect in slightly higher spreads and a minimum account opening balance of $200.

Overall, we find that Pepperstone’s variable spreads which are sourced from several major banks indicate the brokers commitment to offering clients some of the best trading costs possible.
Pepperstone Deposits & Withdrawals
While Pepperstone recommends a minimum deposit of $200, traders are able to deposit less than this if they wish. Deposits are free of charge and can be done through a variety of methods for UAE clients.

  • Debit card
  • Visa debit
  • Mastercard debit
  • Local bank transfer
  • International bank transfer
  • Credit card (for professional clients)

Local deposits and withdrawals are a great bonus for UAE traders, however Pepperstone lacks when it comes to e-wallets, with none of the popular choices available.

Clients can choose their withdrawal method from their secure client area by going to the ‘Funds’ tab then clicking ‘Withdraw Funds’. Withdrawals are free in most cases (bank transfers may incur a fee) and are usually processed in 1-2 business days.

Pepperstone Trading Platforms
Pepperstone has thought well about its platform offering. Rather than creating their own, they partnered with the best white label providers, offering their UAE clients a greater choice from the standard MT4 & MT5 platforms. Pepperstone clients in the UAE can choose from:

❐ MT4 and MT5

Two of the most popular platforms used by traders globally. MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 with AvaTrade offers clients a range of order types, technical analysis tools and automated trading options, great for experienced traders.

Pepperstone is one of the few brokers that offers the cTrader platform for traders. cTrader is an excellent and more user-friendly alternative to MT4, and is available for desktop and web. Pepperstone also offers its very own cTrader mobile app for Apple and Android devices.

TradingView

Pepperstone has partnered with TradingView, the renowned social charting platform, allowing Pepperstone traders in the UAE to take advantage of advanced charts and analysis, super user-friendly interfaces, powerful trading tools and the world’s largest social network of traders.

Pepperstone FAQs
Pepperstone: The Bottom Line
Overall, Pepperstone has established itself as one of the UAE’s most popular online brokers, specializing in CFD trading with low spreads and excellent support. Some of the top advantages we picked out when trading with Pepperstone is the broker's lower spreads compared to the industry average, zero deposit and withdrawal fees, fast account opening and no inactivity fees.

On the other hand, we found that Pepperstone is still limited to CFD trading and is not suitable if you want to invest physically in stocks, crypto or other assets. Copy trading is also not permitted with Pepperstone for UAE traders.

All in all, we highly recommend this broker if you’re a CFD trader just starting out.
