The Gamechangers Middle East, the UAE-born startup investment reality series, has received more than 1,500 founder applications ahead of its 5 July 2026 submission deadline, underscoring the growing momentum of the region’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The response spans founders from the UAE, the wider Middle East, India, Singapore and several other international markets, reflecting increasing global interest in a platform that combines television with startup investment, mentorship and business acceleration.
Designed to function as a genuine investment and mentorship platform rather than pure entertainment, The Gamechangers Middle East aims to connect entrepreneurs with investors, industry mentors, strategic partnerships and funding opportunities. From the applications received, 70 shortlisted startups will advance to a televised pitching stage, where they will present their ventures before a panel of investors and business leaders for a chance to secure investment and accelerate growth.
The series is co-created, hosted and mentored by actor, filmmaker and entrepreneur R. Madhavan, whose own entrepreneurial experience is expected to play a central role in guiding participating founders.
“Every great company begins with belief. A belief in an idea, a vision, and the courage to pursue it. The UAE has become one of the world’s most exciting destinations for innovation, and The Gamechangers Middle East is designed to discover bold founders, champion transformative ideas, and inspire a new generation to think bigger and create lasting legacies,” said Madhavan.
Joining him is filmmaker Vipul D. Shah, Promoter and Chairman of Wakaoo Films and Optimystix Entertainment, who said the scale of the response highlights demand for platforms that offer entrepreneurs tangible business opportunities rather than recognition alone.
“The response we have received in such a short period reflects the extraordinary scale of entrepreneurial ambition across the region. It also reinforces the need for platforms that move beyond recognition and create real access, real visibility, and real opportunities,” Shah said. “The Gamechangers Middle East has been designed to connect promising founders with investors, mentorship and capital, while bringing their stories, struggles and ambitions to audiences across the region.”
The programme will feature an advisory panel made up of entrepreneurs, investors and ecosystem leaders, giving founders both exposure and access to strategic networks beyond the pitching stage itself.
The inaugural season is scheduled to premiere on Colors TV Middle East later in 2026, with simultaneous availability across major streaming platforms serving audiences throughout the MENA region. Organisers say the multi-platform distribution is intended to give participating startups visibility that extends well beyond the investment stage, lending them a level of credibility and exposure that goes further than a traditional pitch.
Applications remain open until 5 July 2026, with organisers expecting total submissions to exceed 2,000 before registrations close.
