London-based prime-of-prime broker and liquidity solutions provider iSAM Securities has expanded its technology suite with the launch of Surge, a new risk management tool designed to give brokers sharper insights and greater control over A- and B-book optimisation.
The addition builds on the group’s existing Radar platform, introducing a layer of intelligent analytics and advanced automation to help brokers navigate one of the trickiest parts of their business – managing risk efficiently while keeping execution tight.
Surge is designed to tackle the pain points that often slow brokers down, offering visibility and automation across several stages of the risk workflow:
Client analytics and classification: Helps brokers group and manage clients based on risk models, with routing rules applied automatically.
Book optimisation: Provides real-time tools for shifting between A- and B-book strategies.
Liquidity provider (LP) analytics: Offers a closer look at LP performance, from spreads and slippage to fill quality, so brokers can evaluate execution more accurately.
Book switching automation: Allows systematic hedging strategies to be set up with rule-based parameters, making it easier to offset exposure and adjust positions dynamically.
Dennis Weissert, Chief Commercial Officer at iSAM Apex, explained that the product grew out of both client feedback and first-hand experience:
