Hantec Prime Appoints Michael Nichols as CEO
Key Takeaways
  • Michael Nichols named CEO of Hantec Prime, tasked with driving institutional expansion.

  • Nichols will focus on bespoke liquidity solutions, ultra-low latency connectivity, and FIX API integrations.

  • Appointment follows a broader leadership reshuffle at Hantec Markets earlier this year.

Hantec Prime, the institutional arm of Hantec Markets, has appointed Michael Nichols as its new Chief Executive Officer, with a mandate to grow the firm’s institutional footprint and strengthen its position as a partner of choice for professional clients.

Nichols will lead efforts to expand commercial relationships, deliver tailored execution services, and accelerate adoption of Hantec Prime’s enterprise-grade trading infrastructure. His responsibilities include managing institutional relationships, architecting liquidity solutions, and working closely with technology and operations teams to enhance low-latency market access.

“Joining Hantec Prime at this pivotal moment is exciting. The institutional landscape is shifting toward electronic, low-latency and bespoke liquidity solutions. With a robust infrastructure and tier-1 relationships, we are rightly positioned to deliver phenomenal outcomes for clients and reshape how institutions access markets.” – Michael Nichols

Nader Nurmohamed, Chief Operating Officer of Hantec Markets, welcomed the appointment:

“We are thrilled to welcome Michael as the Hantec Prime CEO. His commercial experience and deep understanding of institutional liquidity make him an ideal leader as we scale bespoke liquidity and connectivity solutions for sophisticated clients.”

Nichols’ arrival follows a wider leadership reshuffle at Hantec Markets in July 2025, which saw Tim Hughes appointed Chief Strategy Officer, Vivek Mehta as Chief Technology Officer, and Norayr Djerrahian promoted to Chief Commercial Officer.

A fintech and liquidity specialist, Nichols brings broad expertise across institutional sales, liquidity provisioning, risk management, and regulatory licensing. His career has included building sales teams, structuring liquidity relationships, and guiding regulated clients in adopting advanced trading solutions.
