StoneX Strengthens EU Commodities Strategy Through Plantureux Acquisition
  • StoneX Group has acquired Paris-based brokerage Plantureux et Associés, strengthening its presence in European agricultural commodities trading.
  • The deal expands StoneX’s reach into key grain-producing regions, supporting its strategy to diversify and enhance services across Europe.
  • The acquisition brings together complementary expertise, giving StoneX broader access to producers, traders, and industrial clients in both physical and derivatives markets.

StoneX Group has announced the successful acquisition of Platureux et Associés, a Paris-based brokerage firm specialising in agricultural commodities.

The move reinforces StoneX’s long-term strategy to strengthen its presence in Europe’s agri-trading sector and expand its offering across both physical and derivatives markets.

The acquisition was completed through StoneX Financial Europe GmbH, and marks a significant step in expanding the company’s reach into one of Europe’s most productive grain regions. It also aligns with StoneX’s broader goal of diversifying its global operations and enhancing support for agricultural clients across the continent.

“By combining our expertise, talent, and resources, we are confident this transaction will elevate our ability to support European agricultural clients,” said Ramon Martul-Franco, Chief Executive of StoneX Europe. “We are excited to welcome our Platureux colleagues who share our core values of providing high-quality, client-focused solutions.”

Founded in France, Platureux has built a strong reputation for its work in both physical commodities trading and agricultural derivatives markets. The firm serves a wide range of producers, traders, and industrial clients across Europe, and is known for its tailored risk management solutions in the agricultural space.

Xavier Durand-Viel, President of Platureux, said the company was “proud to join the StoneX group” and looked forward to “embarking on the next phase of growth.”
